Surviving the Current Employment Landscape

Are you a Business Owner trying to understand what it’s going to take to grow your business in the current employment landscape?

Candidate-driven market

This is by far the most challenging employment landscape I’ve ever experienced.  It’s a candidate-driven market.  Three million Americans quit their jobs every month – employees have gotten really choosy about where they work.  Hiring mistakes are increasingly costly.  And, oh yes, the U.S. Baby Boomers are retiring at the rate of 10,000 per day.

If you need help making sense of how the employment  landscape has changed over the past several years, I invite you to read this article: What Companies Need to Do to Attract Top Talent in 2019 .  You’ll also be able to access a 30-minute webinar about 2019 employment trends.

Many of my clients, owners of small businesses in Connecticut, are tremendously frustrated as they struggle to find, hire and keep ‘the right’ new employees for their companies.  Understanding what has changed, whether you like it or not, is essential if you plan to remain in business.  Wishing you all the best in the new year.
